Brady at 9 Months

It's so crazy that Brady is already 9 months old.  It felt like I was pregnant forever with him and now he's been here longer than that and it's gone by so fast.  We love Brady and his fun personality so much!  We know we've been blessed to have such an adorable, happy baby in our family.

At 9 months, Brady weighs 20 pounds, 5 ounces and is in the 50th percentile; he is 29 inches long, in the 75 percentile; and his head is 18 inches.
Some of his favorite things right now are:
  • Taking baths--He loves splashing and playing with his rubber ducky.  He loves touching the water as it's running out of the faucet.
  • Being read to--There's not much Brady sits still for, but he will let us read to him for quite a while.  His favorite book before going to sleep is Big Red Barn.  He also loves books where he can touch things.
  • Eating--He really enjoys eating the food that we are eating.  He loves yogurt and fruit (especially fruit you can add cinnamon to), but has not been eating his veggies like he used to!

  • Animals--They make him giggle!
  • Mirrors--Brady will always have a best friend!  He thinks he is so funny when he looks at himself in the mirror.  We have hand prints all over the place!
  •
  •  Getting into things--Brady has discovered toilet paper and can pull everything off his toy shelf in a few seconds.  This video was taken about a month ago.
  •
  • Moving!--Brady is crawling all over the place, pulling himself up onto anything he can, and walking along furniture.  We think it's just a matter of time before we have a walker on our hands!  This video is of his army crawl when he was about 7 1/2 months old. (He crawls regularly now)
  • Napping--He's become a pretty good napper and will [usually] take 2 naps, each 1 1/2-2 hours. He's back to waking up during the night though.
  • Biting things--Brady already has 8 teeth!  I sometimes have to watch out when I'm nursing him--ouch!  He bit Dave on the shoulder the other day, but I had no sympathy for him.  Brady loves having his teeth brushed.
  • Playing--He is content to play by himself most of the time.  We decided that if we had a completely baby proof room with a few toys in it, he would be totally fine for 2 hours and just play the entire time.  We sometimes wish he wanted to play with us longer!
  • Throwing things--Brady pretty much throws anything you give to him.  It's great when he is at my parents and playing with Bronco.  But, not great at the grocery store!
  • Other kids--Brady wishes he were older and could play with other kids.  He loves to sit and watch them.
  • Being outside--We have to watch him closely because he thinks he's a cow and eats grass.  He likes watching cars drive by, running in the stroller with me, and waiting outside for Dave to come home for lunch.

  • We are so glad this cute little boy is ours!

Laura he is SO cute! That video of him laughing at the pony is so funny too. It's funny what makes babies laugh really hard. And wow-8 teeth! YIKES! Such a cutie pie though.
