A New Year

We had a great New Years Eve this year. We spent it up in Layton with my family. Brady wasn't much of a partier and went to bed at 6:30. He surprisingly slept all night, even with a loud dance party going on right above him! Here are a few of the fun things we did: (sorry some of the pictures are sideways. I can't figure out how to rotate them!)

• Ate our traditional cheese fondue for dinner and chocolate fondue for dessert.

• Opened poppers and we each got a prize and a crown.

• Had a dance party, pretty much just the girls and Carrie's kids danced. Tyler held his flashing iphone for the entire hour for our strobe light.

• Played Minute to Win it

• The kids got to hit "Tina" the pinata. I fell in love with how cute she was, and felt so bad for her when her legs all got hit off!

• Dave started a firecracker fight with the kids. They loved being chased by their cool uncles, Dave and Tyler.

• Played Murderer in my parent's vacant house behind them. Super fun!
• At midnight, we went outside and yelled Happy New Year. I got a pretty lame New Year's kiss this year. :(
• We spent the night up there because Bridgette was being blessed the next day. We slept pretty well on the hide-a-bed!

Sunday was Bridgette's blessing. Look how pretty she looks in her dress!

We were able to take a few pictures with my whole family together. Here is our whole group.

Here are a few goals that Dave and/or I have made for this new year:

• Read my scriptures during the day, rather then right before bed when I'm tired.
• Don't be on the computer when Brady is awake
• Only eat 1 treat every week (done it so far, but it's killing me! We'll see how long it can last!)
• Go to the temple at least 12 times this year.
• Stick to our budget better.
• Go on a few vacations this year

Hopefully we can stick to these goals and become better people this year! Hope we have a good 2012!
